Loom knitting

I cannot seem to find anything but trite old hat pattern or baby booties...blah! I will create some new ones and post them, though my time frame is not always the most desirable, unless you are seeing a pattern or two below, them you are lucky, like me when I watch tv series entirely online, I do not have to wait so long or watch commercials, but though somethings are better that way, alot of things are missed out on, like letting your own brain work the trouble out. Your ideas might be better.

Ok, this is the best way to get started right away!

Here is the Purl stitch demonstrated:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDSBwq8ZtWM

Here is the Cable Stitch:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9nIuCMyrzA

Then just use any free knitting patter you can find remembering that each stitch is translated to mean a peg, and so far everything has worked well, I'm still looking at other "tricks" but I haven't discovered any yet that are anything but obvious.

First project

There was supposed to be a photo here, but my connection is messing up. Anyway I am making a pair of little "Car" socks for my son, inspired by his shoes which have proved to be conversation pieces where ever we go. I already made him little slippers at his request, for Christmas, now to turn them into cars and share the pattern so you will all have something to go on.

They ought to be quick and easy.

Prelim pattern for plain Slippers (make 2).

Chain 2
2nd chain from hook make 6 sc in that chain/loop.
2 sc in each sc (12)
*1 sc, 2 sc in next* repeat for whole round (18)
next 5 rounds just sc in each sc
chain 1 and turn
15 sc in each sc, chain 1 and turn
next 10 rows the same
finish off leaving a long tail to sew up heel OR sc Same sides together of the last row of 15 to make heel then Finish off.

Wheels (make 4)
Start with white, cream, or gray Chain 2.
2nd chain from hook, sc 10 then change to black
next round 2 sc in each sc (20)
