Materials - 2 ply yarn and a large size K or 6.5mm hook.
Base
Chain 20.
Row 1 - 10 sc in each space to end ch. 1 turn last row FO.
Sides
Attach yarn to a corner of the base and
Round 1 - sc in each space around edges in inside loop only.
Round 2 - sc in each stitch.
Continue in this manner until a quad scripture is covered aprox. 5 inches.
Top
Continuing from back corner ch. 1 turn.
Row 1 - sc in next 20. ch. 1 turn
Row 2 - sc in each stitch. ch. 1 turn
Row 3 - sc in front loop only.
Row 4 - 15 sc in each stitch. Ch1 turn. FO.
Attach yarn to outside edge.
Row 1 sc in back loop only around effect of top. Ch1 turn.
Row 2 - 6 sc in each st. Ch 1, turn. FO on final row.
Though, I have not done it yet I will attach an appropriately sized strap and pockets to match the bottom.
I think the top need a pencil holder and probably a small pocket.
